BookEnds in September features poet Thomas R. Smith and his book "Poetry on the Side of Nature" on Saturday, September 28th, 11:30 am at the Wadena Library.
Thomas Smith is a highly recognized American poet, essayist, teacher and editor. His work has appeared in numerous anthologies and journals in the U.S. and internationally. His poems have been featured on The Writer's Almanac, a syndicated national public ration program and podcast by Garrison Keillor. He has nearly 20 books and chapbooks published. His most recent, is "Poetry on the Side of Nature: Writing the Nature Poem as an Act of Survival".
His presentation will be held at the new Wadena Library, 210 1st Street SW, Wadena.
Now in its seventh season, BookEnds is a monthly literary event connecting readers and writers. It is hosted this month by Travelin’ Storyseller in collaboration with the New York Mills Regional Cultural Center. It is funded by a grant from the Five Wings Arts Council to the Wadena County Historical Society. BookEnds is free and open to the public.
