Press Release

Bemidji Public Library Presents My Story:

A Celebration of Diversity and Inclusion during Pride Month

Bemidji Public Library is proud to host "My Story" on June 16, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. in collaboration with Pride Support Network. This exciting event is part of our summer reading program, Find Your Voice, and promises to be a vibrant celebration of Pride Month.

Join us at the library, located at 509 America Ave in Bemidji, as we come together to celebrate the diversity that makes us stronger. This free program features a variety of exciting activities, including rainbow snacks, a resource table, teen story slam, and a children's storytime. It's a perfect opportunity for the entire family to join in the fun.

But that's not all! Over the next two months, Bemidji Public Library will host a range of free activities for children, teens, and adults to encourage and support a love of reading through our summer reading program, Find Your Voice. From harpist and author Nicholas Carter on June 23 to Magic Bob on June 24, Raptors Rule on June 30, Women in STEM on July 7, All About Eagles and Gardening at the Library on July 21, and a talent show on July 28, we have a packed schedule that offers something for everyone. You can find all of our events on our calendar at KRLS.org, as well as on our Facebook page.

At the Bemidji Public Library, we are committed to providing the community with informational resources that enrich their lives. Our library is open from 9/7 Monday through Thursday and 9/5 Friday and Saturday, and we offer a wide range of services to our patrons, including WIFI, fax, printing, copying, and our legal kiosk. We are proud to say that this program, and many others, are made possible through the generosity of the Friends of the Bemidji Public Library, who work tirelessly to support the mission and purpose of our library.

We invite you to learn more about our summer reading program and this year's events by calling the library at 218.751.3963 or visiting our website and Facebook pages. We hope to see you at "My Story" and all of our other exciting events this summer!
