Bemidji Public Library and the Headwaters Science Center
Women in STEM Workshop
The Bemidji Public Library and the Headwaters Science Center are thrilled to present Women in STEM, a free event for kids and teens on Friday, July 7th, at 1:00 p.m. at the library located at 509 America Avenue.
This event will focus on women and girls in STEM fields and aims to inspire and encourage them to explore careers in these areas. Elle, a wildlife biologist student at Bemidji State University who also works at HSC, will lead a writing workshop and presentation about her journey with STEM, from obtaining her undergraduate degree to her work with the Headwaters Science Center.
This event is a great opportunity for those curious about STEM fields but unsure of what to focus on. Participants will have the chance to learn about the experiences of women in STEM and engage in an exciting writing workshop.
But the Women in STEM event is just one of the many free events lined up for the Bemidji Public Library's summer reading program. Whether you're young or young at heart, there's something for everyone. On July 21st, join us for All About Eagles and Gardening at the Library, and on July 28th, be a part of the Talent Show.
Beyond these fun events, the Bemidji Public Library takes pride in enriching the lives of our community by offering a wide range of services to our patrons, including WIFI, fax, printing, copying, and our legal kiosk. We are grateful for the generosity of the Friends of the Bemidji Public Library, who work tirelessly to support the mission and purpose of our library.
