Teen Writing Workshop: Writing Believable Characters in Fiction – Brainerd
July 18 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm
Explore the connection between internal and external characteristics in a good protagonist. Every believable character has a Question they’re asking, and a Lie they believe as they traverse their arc—discuss the implications of this as a storyteller. Develop and create a flawed character and then allow that character opportunity for growth——on the page, and in the mind of the reader. Work through a character development exercise that will allow participants to build a plot-line for their story from character-driven motivations. And enjoy pizza for lunch! For ages 12 to 18. Register here or call the library.
