Want to get a jumpstart on your gardening this year? Need a few tips and tricks to help you through the growing season? Come to Bemidji public library every Thursday in March for a few classes that will help you out this spring!

March 1— Wally Peck- Garden Soils: Soil types, chemistry, nutrients and structure of soil with tips on improving garden soils.
March 8— Becky Livermore and Onen Markeson – Squash: Growing and harvesting winter and summer squash from Acorn to Zucchini.
March 15— Cathy Peck – Cutting Gardens: Want to have enough flowers for your home or a special event? Here is a class on getting started in raising a cutting garden.
March 22— Wally Peck – Growing Greens: Sources, planting, and growing greens for healthy salads and sides.

March 31— Mary Lee Ouditt – Summer Flowering Bulbs: Tender bulbs can provide color and cut flowers.We’ll talk about Glads, Calla lilies and some you may not have heard of.
